§ Duane Dixon graduated from The Colony High School in The Colony, Texas with high honors in 1990. He attended The University of Houston, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. While at The University of Houston he participated in the Golden Key National Honor Society as Historian, Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Leadership Society, Kappa Delta Pi National Educational Honor Society, and Phi Mu Alpha Professional Musicians Fraternity. He is a professional performer and composer in the Houston area. The HSPVA orchestra, dance, and art collaboration in honor of Mark DiSuvero, sculptor, included a premier of his "2nd and 3rd Episodes" during the International Sculpture Symposium in the Spring of 2000. Currently Mr. Dixon is a member of the International Webmasters Association and The HTML Writers Guild (IWA/HTML Guild), The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), and The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society (IEEE Computer Society). Also, he is working on on A+ and Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) certifications. He has had training for web design at lynda.com in Ojai, California and at the University of Houston. Hobbies include woodworking, web design, traveling with his wonderful wife, reading, playing on the computer and playing video games.
